Sources, not vibes.

Flan Arcana does not write tarot meanings. It quotes them, and it says who said what. The knowledge base is versioned in the open, with a daily research job that flags changes for human review and never edits the canon by itself.

// questions people ask

Straight answers.

Where do the card meanings come from?

Every card quotes A. E. Waite's The Pictorial Key to the Tarot (1911), the book written for the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, upright and reversed. A modern layer of keywords, love and career notes and yes/no leans comes from the open Tarotoo dataset. Biddy Tarot, Labyrinthos, Trusted Tarot and Los Arcanos are linked on every card. Nothing is written by hand.

Is the horoscope real?

The sign facts are the standard Western correspondences (dates, element, modality, traditional ruler). The moon phase is computed; eclipses and seasons come from NASA and the US Naval Observatory. The daily card per sign is drawn by King Flan and read with Waite's text. It is entertainment, not prediction.

What is free and what needs flan club?

Free: Card of the Day, daily horoscope, one themed spread a day, the library and Learn. Club: unlimited spreads, the Shadow spread, weekly horoscope, full history, instant publishing in the Reading Room and all six share-card editions.

Does the King ever change a card's meaning?

No. The knowledge base is versioned. A daily research job checks the reference sites and, if something changed, writes a changelog and a review flag. A human decides. The game never edits the canon on its own.

Is tarot advice?

No. Tarot is an interpretive system, a mirror to think with. Nothing here is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. If a reading stops being fun, put the deck down. 18+.

Entertainment onlyTarot and horoscopes are interpretive traditions. Flan Arcana makes no predictions and gives no advice of any kind.
